What is required for Sovrn to approve my property?

Sovrn reviews all inventory submitted to the platform to verify it aligns with our Supply Policies. Providing accurate, complete information upfront helps your submission get evaluated quickly so you can start earning as soon as possible.

Before anything else, all publishers must provide their operational business domain or advertising system identifier. Contact the Support Team or your Sovrn representative to do this if the information has not been provided already or you believe it is inaccurate - it's a prerequisite for approval on the platform.

From there, requirements vary depending on whether you're monetizing In-App or Web inventory.

In-App Inventory

Submission Requirements

Required:

  • Bundle ID in the App Store’s standardized format. If the App Store does not adhere to a standardized format, confirm with that platform how bundles should be passed in the bid request. This ensures advertisers correctly recognize your inventory in the auction.

Optional (but recommended):

  • Developer URL - the domain where your app's app-ads.txt file is hosted.

  • App Store URL - the direct link to your app's listing on its respective store (Google Play, Apple App Store, Roku Channel Store, LG Content Store, Samsung Galaxy Store, etc.).

Transparency Requirements

For Owners:

  • Host an up-to-date app-ads.txt file on your developer website.

  • Be listed as the accredited OWNERDOMAIN, MANAGERDOMAIN, or INVENTORYPARTNERDOMAIN within that file.

For Intermediaries:

  • Host an up-to-date sellers.json file on your advertising system identifier website.

  • Be authorized to sell the inventory you're submitting, with accurate corresponding sellers.json entries.

Quality Requirements

Your app must:

  • Be maintained and up-to-date per the version history in its app store listing.

  • Not be directed toward children or intended for an audience exclusively under the age of 16.

  • Have a Privacy Policy that is easily accessible to users.

  • Not carry a content rating for Mature Audiences.

  • Adhere to all policies outlined in our Ad Exchange Supply Policies.
