What data is Sovrn able to report on for my Ad Exchange?

Sovrn captures performance data for every auction, impression, and bid that runs through your Ad Exchange inventory — across web, mobile app, and Connected TV (CTV). You can slice this data by a wide range of metrics and dimensions to understand what's earning, where, and through which auction path. This article covers what's available and where you can access it.

As of January 2026, some metrics or dimensions are temporarily unavailable for reporting. In the below lists, the dimensions/metrics marked with an asterisk indicate that it is currently missing.

What metrics can I report on?

Six performance metrics are available:

  • Revenue — Your total earnings after fees (publisherRevenue in the API).

  • CPM — Cost per thousand impressions (cpm).

  • Impressions — Total ads served successfully (impressions).

  • Requests* — Total ad requests made (requests).

  • Requests with bid* — Ad requests that received bids (requestsWithBid).

  • Fill rate* — Percentage of requests that resulted in an impression (fillRate).

*Temporarily unavailable.

What dimensions can I break my data out by?

You can combine any of the following dimensions in a single report.

Inventory dimensions

  • Domain / Site — The website the ad was served on.

  • Bundle ID / Application — The app bundle ID for mobile or CTV inventory (sometimes called the package ID).

  • Property type — Web or App (Mobile app or CTV).

  • Zone ID* — Unique ID for a Sovrn ad tag.

  • Zone size* — Ad zone size, e.g., 728x90.

  • Zone name* — Unique name given to the zone, e.g., RON_728x90.

Auction and demand dimensions

  • Auction — The integration type that generated the traffic. Options include Header Bidding, Amazon TAM, Google OB, Server-to-server API, Nimbus, SpringServe, and Publica.

  • Demand Partner — The DSP that won the auction (e.g., TradeDesk).

  • Seat ID — DSP seat identifier for the advertiser placing creatives.

  • Deal ID — Identifier for a private marketplace deal.

  • Advertiser — The advertiser URL (e.g., http://Nike.com ).

Audience and format dimensions

  • Country — Country of generated traffic.

  • Device — Device type (smartphone, tablet, desktop).

  • Browser — Browser the ad was served in (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).

  • Ad format / Ad type — Display, Video, or Native.

*Temporarily unavailable.

What inventory types are covered?

Sovrn reports on all three Ad Exchange inventory types:

  • Web — desktop and mobile web display, video, and native.

  • Mobile app — in-app display and video on iOS and Android.

  • Connected TV (CTV) — video inventory on connected TV devices.

You can scope a report to a single inventory type using the Property type dimension or filter.

How far back is data available?

How far back you can report depends on where you're pulling the data from:

  • Advertising Analytics dashboard — Up to 3 months.

  • Reports panel (Popular and Custom Reports) — Choose from preset time frames or set a custom date range.

  • Reporting API — Three granularities, each with its own historical range:

  • Hourly — Past 45 days

  • Daily — Past 2 years

  • Monthly — Back to January 2017

Most dimensions are only populated from 2022 onward, so older monthly reports may return limited data.

Where can I access this data?

You have three options, each suited to a different use case.
