The Advertising Analytics dashboard is your at-a-glance view of Ad Exchange performance. It shows revenue, CPM, and impression trends across your properties, with filters to drill into specific environments, auction types, and ad formats. This article walks through what's on the page and how to use each control.
Where do I find the dashboard?
Sign in to the Sovrn Platform. In the left navigation, expand Advertising and click Analytics.
What does the dashboard show?
The page has three main components.
Three summary cards at the top show your headline metrics for the selected date range:
-
Total Revenue — your total earnings for the period
-
Average CPM — your average cost per thousand impressions
-
Total Impressions — total ads served successfully
Each card displays a delta against the previous period — green if up, red if down — so you can see at a glance whether performance is trending in the right direction.
A trend chart below the cards plots the selected metric day by day. The solid black line is the current period; the dashed grey line is the previous comparable period.
Filter and date controls sit above the cards: a property selector, date range pickers, and a Filters button.
How do I change the metric shown in the chart?
Click any of the three summary cards — Total Revenue, Average CPM, or Total Impressions — to switch the chart to that metric. The currently selected card is highlighted.
How do I change the date range?
Use the date pickers next to the property selector to set a start and end date. The dashboard supports date ranges going back up to 3 months.
For longer historical lookbacks, Sovrn recommends pulling the data through the Reporting API, which supports daily granularity going back 2 years and monthly granularity.
How do I filter the data?
You have two filtering tools.
The property selector (the All properties dropdown to the left of the date pickers) lets you scope the dashboard to a single domain or app bundle. By default, all your properties are aggregated.
The Filters panel (click Filters +) slides in from the right and lets you combine multiple filter dimensions:
-
Property type — Web or App. The App option expands to Mobile app and CTV.
-
Date range — the same controls as the top of the page, mirrored here for convenience.
-
Auction — the integration type that generated the traffic. Options include All auctions, Amazon TAM, Google OB, Header bidding, Server-to-server API, Nimbus, SpringServe, and Publica.
-
Ad format — All formats, Display, Video, or Native.
Click Apply to update the dashboard with your filters, Cancel to discard the changes, or Reset to clear all filter selections.
How do I export the chart data?
Click the download icon at the top right of the chart to export the data shown in the current view, including total revenue, average CPM, and total impressions.
How do I run or schedule a report?
Click the blue Report button in the top right of the page. From there you can run a Popular Report, build a Custom Report, or schedule recurring deliveries. See How do I use the Custom Reporting feature in the Sovrn Dashboard? for the full walkthrough.
