The Custom Report builder in the Sovrn Platform lets you create reports from scratch — choose your own dimensions, metrics, and timeframe, then run the report immediately, schedule it, or save it for later. Use Custom Reporting when none of the pre-built Popular Reports fit your specific question.
Where do I find Custom Reporting?
-
Sign in to your account.
-
Open the Advertising Analytics page.
-
Click the blue Report button in the top right corner.
-
Select Custom Report.
The Custom Report builder opens in a panel on the right.
How do I build a custom report?
You'll configure four things.
Report Type
Choose All, Web, or App. Selecting a single property automatically sets the type:
-
Web properties disable the Application Bundle ID dimension.
-
App properties disable the Site dimension.
Date Range
Pick a standard time frame (e.g., Last 7 Days) or set a custom start and end date.
Reports with a custom date range can only be delivered as an immediate report — they can't be saved or scheduled.
Dimensions
Pick any combination of dimensions to break the data out by:
-
Advertiser — Name of the advertiser
-
Application — Bundle ID the ad was served on
-
Country — Ad serving country
-
Deal ID — Unique ID for a deal
-
Device — Device type the ad was served to
-
Demand Partner — Demand-side platform used
-
Format — Format in which the ad was served
-
Integration — Auction type (e.g., Prebid, TAM)
-
Seat ID — Unique ID for the buyer's seat
-
Site — Domain the ad was served on
Metrics
Pick any combination of metrics to include:
-
CPM — Cost per thousand impressions
-
Fill rate* — Percentage of requests that result in an impression
-
Impressions — Total ads served successfully
-
Requests* — Total ad requests made
-
Requests with bid* — Ad requests that received bids
-
Revenue — Your total earnings after fees
You must select at least one dimension and one metric before you can continue to delivery.
*Temporarily unavailable.
How do I deliver the report?
Once you've configured your report, enter one or more recipient email addresses, then choose how to deliver it:
-
Deliver Immediate Report — Sovrn processes the report and emails it to the listed addresses right away.
-
Schedule Automated Delivery — The report runs automatically on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. Scheduled reports are saved automatically to your Saved Reports list.
-
Save Only — The report is saved to your Saved Reports list without being scheduled or delivered.
Click Submit to finish.
If your custom report uses a custom date range, only Deliver Immediate Report is available.
Why is the Continue to delivery button grayed out?
You haven't selected at least one dimension and one metric. Pick one of each and the button will activate.
How do I re-run, edit, or delete a saved custom report?
Every custom report you save appears in the Saved Reports section. From there you can:
-
Edit a report — Update the dimensions, metrics, recipients, or schedule. The most recently edited report moves to the top of the list.
-
Disable a schedule — Edit a scheduled report and turn off the automation. The report stays in your saved list, marked as Not Scheduled.
-
Send on demand — Click the airplane icon next to any saved report to generate a one-off, immediate delivery. This keeps the saved dimensions and metrics but lets you override the date range and report type for that specific run.
-
Delete a report — Remove the report entirely. If you only need to pause delivery, Sovrn recommends disabling the schedule or updating the recipients first.
What if I need more than the dashboard offers?
For programmatic access, larger historical lookbacks (up to 2 years daily, back to January 2017 monthly), or pulling data into your own warehouse or BI tool, Sovrn offers a Reporting API. See How do I use the Sovrn Reporting API? for the full guide.
