Sovrn does not share granular invalid traffic (IVT) reporting with publishers. This is standard practice across the industry and is part of how Sovrn maintains its network quality standards on the Ad Exchange.
Why Sovrn doesn't disclose detailed IVT data
Sovrn treats detailed IVT measurement as sensitive information. Disclosing exactly how and where invalid traffic is detected would expose the methodology behind our fraud defenses, which could allow bad actors to reverse-engineer those defenses and introduce vulnerabilities into the exchange. Withholding this detail protects the quality of the network for every publisher and advertiser on it.
Sovrn is also contractually limited by its IVT detection vendor and cannot share IVT reporting at a level more granular than the account level.
What you can do about invalid traffic instead
While Sovrn does not provide granular IVT reporting, you are responsible for keeping your own traffic clean, and there are clear thresholds to work toward: IVT should measure under 1% at the account level, and no individual property should generate IVT in excess of 15%. Sovrn recommends implementing IVT scanning through your own MRC-accredited vendor so you have independent visibility into your traffic quality.
