To add your business to Sovrn's sellers.json, reach out to the Sovrn Support Team with the following information:
-
Business name — the exact legal or business name you want listed in the file
-
Seller type — either
PUBLISHER,INTERMEDIARY, orBOTH(see below for definitions) -
Account email address — the email associated with your Sovrn Ad Exchange account, so we can verify the request and tie the entry back to the correct integration
Once Support receives these details, your entry will be added to Sovrn's sellers.json file, which is hosted at lijit.com/sellers.json.
For most publishers, the sellers.json entry is created automatically during onboarding to Sovrn Ad Exchange. You generally do not need to take any action to have it added.
If you are actively monetizing with Sovrn Ad Exchange and do not see your business listed at lijit.com/sellers.json, contact Support so we can add the missing entry. A missing sellers.json record can cause DSPs (demand-side platforms) to filter or downweight your supply, so it's worth resolving quickly.
Which seller type should I choose?
When you contact Support, you'll need to declare your seller type. Use the definition that accurately reflects how you operate:
-
PUBLISHER — You own and operate the inventory being monetized.
-
INTERMEDIARY — You resell or represent inventory owned by other publishers.
-
BOTH — You operate your own inventory and also resell inventory owned by others.
Declaring this accurately is required by the IAB sellers.json specification and affects how buyers evaluate your supply. Failure to choose the accurate seller type can lead to decreased spending, loss of bid activity, and decreased trust from demand partners.
