Where can I verify Sovrn's CMP ID?

There are two official sources, both maintained by IAB Europe.

The IAB CMP List (JSON) is the canonical machine-readable list at cmplist.consensu.org/v2/cmp-list.json. Open the URL in your browser or run a curl request and search for "Sovrn" — you'll see the entry with "id": 11.

The IAB Europe CMP Registry at iabeurope.eu/cmp-list/ loads the same data in a searchable web UI. Search for "Sovrn" and the ID column will show 11.

Why does the CMP ID matter when auditing bid requests?

When you decode a TC String, the cmpId field tells you which CMP collected the user's consent. If consent was collected by Sovrn's own CMP, you'll see cmpId: 11.

A different cmpId on traffic routed through Sovrn means the publisher is using a third-party CMP — OneTrust, Sourcepoint, Quantcast, or another vendor. This is normal and expected. When troubleshooting consent signal issues on that traffic, the third-party CMP is the source of truth for how the TC String was constructed, so that vendor is the right starting point for debugging.
