What impression tracking methods does Sovrn support?
Sovrn supports several impression tracking methods. The method applied to your inventory depends on your configuration, the type of inventory you’re running, and the demand partners involved.

Bill on Render
As part of Sovrn's ongoing alignment with industry standards, Sovrn is transitioning impression tracking for mobile app display inventory toward bill on render. In this model, an impression is logged only when at least one pixel of the creative is viewable for any amount of time — rather than when the ad is served.
This change was rolled out beginning in November 2025 and currently applies when the following demand partners win the auction:
-
DV360 (Seat ID: 23)
-
Magnite (Seat ID: 80) / Magnite UK (Seat ID: 83)
-
PubMatic (Seat ID: 58) / PubMatic UK (Seat ID: 71)
-
Equativ (Seat ID: 106)
-
OpenX (Seat ID: 76)
Video / VAST inventory
For all video bids, Sovrn always places its impression tracking pixel inside the VAST <Impression> event in the ADM.
