How do I enable identity enrichment for Sovrn in Publica?

Enabling identity enrichment in Publica lets you pass user identity signals (UID 2.0, Google PAIR, LiveRamp ATS) and content signals (Content IDs, IRIS-ID) to Sovrn on every bid request. Buyers use these signals to bid more competitively on your inventory, so turning them on typically improves fill rates and CPMs.

You configure passthrough one demand partner at a time from Publica's Demand Source Settings page.

Prerequisites

  • Access to your Publica account with permission to edit Bidder Management settings.

  • Sovrn configured as a demand source in your Publica setup.

Step 1: Open Demand Source Settings

In the Publica UI, click Bidders > Demand Source Settings.

Step 2: Select Sovrn as the demand source

From the Demand source dropdown, select Sovrn.

Step 3: Toggle the passthrough fields you want to enable

Set any of the following fields to Active:

  • Enable UID 2.0 Passthrough — Passes The Trade Desk's Unified ID 2.0 identifier.

  • Enable Google PAIR ID Passthrough — Passes Google's Publisher Advertiser Identity Reconciliation (PAIR) ID.

  • Enable Liveramp ATS Passthrough — Passes LiveRamp's Authenticated Traffic Solution (ATS) identifier.

  • Enable Content IDs — Passes standard OpenRTB http://content.id values.

  • Enable IRIS signal — Passes the IRIS-ID contextual signal. This overwrites the http://content.id field in the bid request.

  • Enable extended content IDs — Passes multiple content identifiers from different vendors (including IRIS) via the content.data field. See the OpenRTB 2.6 spec on the Data object for details.

Sovrn recommends enabling every signal you have available — each additional identifier increases the chance of an addressable match and can lift the resulting bid.

Step 4: Enable IRIS and Extended Content IDs at the bidder level

If you turn on Enable IRIS signal or Enable extended content IDs, you must also enable those signals at the bidder level in Publica for them to flow through. Setting the demand-source toggle alone is not enough.
