Create and Manage your Sovrn Account
How do I create a Sovrn account?
Creating an account is easy and free. Visit our Sign Up page to create an account and to get started!
You'll have the option to use an email address and password combination, or sign up using your Google account. You'll be prompted through a few steps to verify your email address.
I did not receive an email to verify my email address.
If you've signed up for an account and have reached the step where you're prompted to confirm your email address but cannot find the confirmation email, there are a few things you can try:
Make sure to check your spam folder for the email
Double check there are no typos in the email address you've submitted.
You can re-send the email by navigating to our Login page and submitting your email and a password (any password, does not need to be correct). This will trigger the confirmation email to be sent again.
If none of these things work, please reach out to Sovrn Support and we can take a look at what could be going wrong.
I'm seeing an error when I try to follow the link to verify my email.
When you create an account, you'll be sent an email to the address you signed up with for verification. It will contain a link to follow - if you are seeing an error when you try to follow this link, try these things:
Try clearing your cache and cookies.
If you didn't follow the link within one hour of receiving the confirmation email, it will have expired. You'll need to navigate to our Login page and submit your email and a password (any password, does not need to be correct). This will trigger the confirmation email to be sent again.
If none of these things work, please reach out to Sovrn Support and we can take a look at what could be going wrong.
What is Multi-factor Authentication?
When you log in to any site, you're usually asked for a username and password, this is a way to authenticate that you're the user of the account. Multi-factor authentication means we're asking for additional identification, in this case a code, to ensure it's really you.
MFA is strongly recommended. Cyber threats are on the rise with damages predicted to cost more and more every year. We want to ensure that your details are protected on our platform and only you can log in to manage your account.
How do I set up MFA?
If your Sovrn account is connected to your Google sign in details, you will not be able to enable Multi-Factor Authentication through the Sovrn Platform. However, we encourage you to set up your 2-step verification using your Google Account. Here's some guidance from Google.
If you're using a username and password combination to sign in, you can enable MFA via your account. You'll need an Authenticator app on your phone. Some common providers are Authy, Google, LastPass or Microsoft. You may have already downloaded one to log in elsewhere.
Log in to your account with your password as usual. Navigate to your account settings at the bottom left of the screen and click on Admin (you will not see this option if you login via Google). Here you can set your security controls - either change your password or add a secure login.
Multiple people will use my account, what do I need to do?
We encourage you to set up different users so that they can log in with their own password and authentication from their mobile device. You can add users and link them to your main account. There is more information on how to manage users in this article.
How do I delete my account?
